Get ready for a fun-filled day blending music, dance and, even crafting! Create costumes to wear in the parade, enjoy games, DJs, food and art. Then join us for a short parade followed by a live concert by Mausiki Scales & the Common Ground Collective.

Parade Tailgate featuring DJ Ear Dr., Funky Fun Stations curated by Lillian Blades and Kamau Dormer

Music spinning, games and more! Pack some snacks, bring blankets, and enjoy a fun-filled day on the Westside Park meadow. Create your own Mardis Gras/Junkanoo-style headpiece to wear in the parade, make a caxixi, or get your face painted. Supplies are limited. No cost to participate.

Atlanta After School All-Stars

Enjoy a high-energy performance showcasing the talented students of the Atlanta All-Stars Program.

4:00 PM

Funk-line Parade

Join Mausiki Scales and the Common Ground Collective, Atlanta Junkanoo Band and a host of of other performers and guests in a parade through the park.

5:00 PM

Performance by Frankie’s Blues Mission

Meet us back at the meadow for a performance by Frankie’s Blues Mission featuring Jazz, Blues and Zydeco.

Mausiki Scales & the Common Ground Collective Concert
